Eucalyptus leucoxylon subsp. connata - Yellow Gum

Eucalyptus leucoxylon subsp. connata, known as Yellow Gum, is a hardy, medium-sized Australian native tree ideal for streetscapes, open gardens, and habitat planting. It typically grows to 10–15 metres tall with a rounded canopy, smooth upper bark, and rough, fibrous bark near the base.

The tree produces masses of creamy-yellow to pale pink flowers from autumn through spring, attracting birds, bees, and other pollinators. Its glossy green foliage, reliable growth, and tolerance to drought, clay soils, and variable conditions make it a favourite for council planting, farms, and large landscapes.

Low maintenance and long-lived, Yellow Gum offers shade, biodiversity value, and year-round structure in both formal and informal planting schemes.
