Evergreen Trees Direct is a wholesale and retail tree and plant supplier based in Mornington, Victoria, delivering Australia-wide. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and share your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
WHAT WE COLLECT
We collect the following information when you place an order, request a quote, create an account, or contact us:

- Payment information (processed securely by our payment provider - we do not store full card numbers)
- Order history and correspondence with our team
- If you apply for a credit account: trade references and information needed to assess your application
We also automatically collect standard website data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited through our website platform and analytics tools.

- Process and deliver your orders, including sharing delivery details with freight partners

WHO WE SHARE IT WITH
We share your information only as needed to run our business:
- Freight and transport partners, who receive your name, delivery address, phone number and site details to complete your delivery (including interstate freight partners in NSW, QLD and SA, who will contact you directly to coordinate)
- Payment processors (Stripe), who handle your payment securely
- Our e-commerce platform (Shopify), which hosts our store and stores customer and order data
- Our administrative and customer service team, including offshore team members who assist with order processing under confidentiality obligations
- Professional advisers, debt collection agencies or legal representatives, where necessary
- Government agencies or regulators, where required by law
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
OVERSEAS DISCLOSURE
Some of our service providers, including our e-commerce platform and administrative support team, store or access data outside Australia (including the United States and the Philippines). We take reasonable steps to ensure these providers handle your information consistently with Australian privacy law.
STORAGE & SECURITY
Your information is stored in secure, access-controlled systems provided by our e-commerce, accounting and payment platforms. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and are never stored on our own systems.
ACCESS & CORRECTION
You can request access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing sales@evergreentrees.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable time.
MARKETING
If you receive marketing emails from us, you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. We will still send you transactional messages related to your orders.
