PLANT PROFILE
Cedrus deodara, or Deodar Cedar, is a large, evergreen conifer known for its pendulous blue-green needles and symmetrical pyramidal shape that broadens with age. Its layered, sweeping branches give it strong visual impact in open landscapes.
It looks excellent as a specimen tree, windbreak, or anchor in large-scale planting schemes, where its structure and colour can be fully appreciated. Deodar Cedar thrives in full sun, is drought-tolerant once established, and requires low maintenance with only moderate watering. A reliable choice for adding scale, greenery, and long-term structure to parks, estates, or expansive gardens.
