About Correa alba – White Correa
About Correa alba – White Correa
Correa alba – White Correa is a compact, evergreen Australian native shrub known for its grey-green, soft, felted leaves and abundant white star-shaped flowers that bloom from autumn through spring. Growing to about 1–1.5 metres high and wide, it forms a dense, rounded shape that looks excellent in coastal gardens, native landscapes, informal hedges, or as understorey planting in mixed borders.
Its velvety foliage adds a unique texture, while the flowers attract native birds and pollinators, supporting biodiversity. Correa alba thrives in full sun to part shade, tolerates salt spray, drought, and light frost, and requires very low maintenance. A light prune after flowering encourages a neater shape and denser growth.
They look excellent when planted as soft hedges or beneath taller feature trees, creating natural layering and adding year-round structure with subtle coastal charm.
