PLANT PROFILE
Trachelospermum jasminoides, commonly known as Star Jasmine, is a versatile evergreen climber with glossy, dark green leaves and highly fragrant, star-shaped white flowers. When trained on tripod frames, it creates an instant living feature with vertical interest, combining both foliage and flowers in a compact structure. The plant forms a dense covering, with flowering peaks in spring and summer and occasional repeat blooms through warmer months.
This species has a moderate growth rate and thrives in well-drained soils with regular watering during establishment. It is hardy, tolerating both full sun and part shade, and is frost tolerant once established. Trachelospermum jasminoides is evergreen, low-maintenance, and suitable for a wide range of climates. The flowers are strongly scented and attract pollinators, while the dense foliage provides structure year-round.
They look excellent when used as decorative potted features at entrances, patios, or courtyards. Tripod-trained specimens also suit formal gardens, retail displays, or event spaces where a refined vertical accent is required.
