About Echeveria × imbricata – Blue Rose Echeveria
Echeveria × imbricata, commonly known as Blue Rose Echeveria, is one of the most popular and widely grown succulent varieties, prized for its perfectly symmetrical blue-grey rosettes. The overlapping fleshy leaves form elegant rose-like shapes that provide year-round colour, texture, and architectural appeal in both garden and container plantings.
It performs best in full sun to light shade and free-draining soils, where the foliage develops its strongest colour and compact growth habit. Once established, Blue Rose Echeveria develops excellent drought tolerance and requires very little maintenance, making it ideal for waterwise landscapes, succulent gardens, and decorative containers.
They look excellent when used in mass succulent plantings, rockeries, green roofs, decorative pots, courtyard gardens, and modern landscape designs where low-maintenance colour and geometric form are desired. Mature plants produce offsets freely, gradually forming attractive clusters over time.
