About Echeveria subrigida ‘Fire & Ice’ – Fire & Ice Echeveria
Echeveria subrigida ‘Fire & Ice’ is a striking evergreen succulent prized for its large powdery blue foliage edged with vibrant pink to red margins. The broad fleshy leaves form symmetrical rosettes that provide exceptional year-round colour and architectural appeal, making this variety a standout feature in succulent collections and contemporary landscapes.
It performs best in full sun to light shade and free-draining soils, where the foliage develops its strongest colour contrast. Once established, Fire & Ice Echeveria develops excellent drought tolerance and requires very little maintenance. The combination of blue-grey foliage and vivid pink edging creates a dramatic effect throughout the year.
They look excellent when used in decorative containers, succulent gardens, rockeries, courtyards, and waterwise landscapes where colourful foliage and compact architectural form are desired. During the flowering season, tall stems bearing coral-pink flowers provide additional ornamental interest above the foliage.
