Crassula ovata ‘Silver Dollar’ is an evergreen succulent shrub with large, almost circular leaves in a soft silver green, often edged with a fine red line where the sun strikes them. The thick stems branch freely and build an upright, sculptural plant that develops a smooth pale trunk in time.

Full sun gives the best leaf colour, although it accepts bright part shade. Drainage matters more than soil type, so sandy ground, gravel and raised beds all work while heavy clay does not.
