Citrus junos, the yuzu, is an evergreen citrus grown in Japan and Korea for its intensely aromatic yellow fruit. It forms a rounded, densely branched tree with glossy leaves, long sharp thorns and winged leaf stalks. Fragrant white flowers open in spring, and the knobbly fruit smells closer to mandarin and grapefruit than lemon.
