PLANT PROFILE

Camellia sasanqua ‘Jennifer Susan’ in standard form is an elegant evergreen topiary that produces semi-double, soft pink blooms with a golden centre. Flowering from mid-autumn through winter, it brings seasonal colour to structured garden settings and formal entrances where space is limited but impact is desired.

Maintaining a dense, ball-shaped crown atop a straight trunk, this grafted standard grows to 1.8–2.5 metres high and 1.2–1.5 metres wide, offering a refined architectural look. Its glossy green foliage remains neat year-round, and the flowering display adds a seasonal highlight in cooler months.

They look excellent when planted in matching pairs to frame pathways, doorways, or outdoor entertaining spaces, or used rhythmically along a formal garden axis. It performs best in part shade to full sun, in well-drained, slightly acidic soil, and is frost-tolerant once established.
