About Aloe hybrida ‘Andreas Orange’ – Andreas Orange Aloe
Aloe hybrida ‘Andreas Orange’ is a compact flowering succulent grown for its vivid orange flower spikes and attractive blue-green foliage. The bright blooms rise above the dense clumping foliage, creating a colourful display during the cooler months when many other garden plants are not in flower.
It performs best in full sun to light shade and free-draining soils. The compact habit makes it ideal for smaller gardens, borders, mass plantings, and decorative containers. Once established, it develops excellent drought tolerance and requires minimal maintenance, making it well suited to contemporary, coastal, and waterwise landscapes.
They look excellent when used in mass plantings, rockeries, courtyard gardens, feature borders, and container displays where vibrant seasonal colour and architectural foliage are desired. The nectar-rich flowers also attract birds and beneficial pollinators to the garden.
