PLANT PROFILE

Magnolia grandiflora 'Exmouth' is a majestic evergreen Southern Magnolia cultivar known for its tall, elegant form and large, fragrant creamy-white flowers up to 30 cm across. Growing 10–12 meters tall and 4–6 meters wide, it features glossy dark green leaves with a velvety rusty-brown underside, providing year-round interest.

With a tall, conical habit, 'Exmouth' is perfect as a striking specimen tree in large gardens, parks, or landscapes. It thrives in well-drained soils, tolerates some urban pollution, and prefers full sun to partial shade. Moderately drought-tolerant once established, it requires minimal pruning and moderate watering, especially during dry spells and early growth.

This cultivar adds grandeur and southern charm to any outdoor space, making it a standout feature with impressive blooms and lush evergreen foliage.

How to Plant:

  • Select a location with sufficient space for growth, taking into account its mature size.
  • Ensure the planting site has well-draining soil and receives full to partial sunlight.
  • Dig a hole that is slightly larger than the 90L container.
  • Carefully remove the tree from the container and place it in the hole, ensuring it is standing straight.
