Livistona australis, known as Cabbage Palm or Fan Palm, is a majestic evergreen Australian native palm prized for its tall, slender trunk and large, fan-shaped fronds up to 2 meters long. Growing 10–20 meters tall and 2–4 meters wide, it creates a striking tropical focal point in gardens, parks, and landscapes.
This palm produces subtle creamy-white flowers in late spring to early summer and thrives in full sun to partial shade. Adaptable to well-draining soils and tolerant of occasional wet conditions, it becomes drought-hardy once established. With low maintenance needs, the Cabbage Palm offers tropical elegance and shade for a variety of outdoor settings.
