About Your New Nandina 'Moon Bay' - Sale
Nandina domestica 'Moon Bay', commonly known as Heavenly Bamboo, is a slow-growing, evergreen shrub prized for its fine, fern-like foliage and vibrant seasonal color changes. It reaches about 60 cm tall and 50 cm wide, forming a dense, compact, and naturally rounded habit—perfect for structured plantings.
New growth emerges pinkish-red in spring, turns green through summer, and deepens to rich red tones in autumn and winter, complemented by striking red bark. Small white summer flowers add subtle seasonal interest without overshadowing the foliage.
Thriving in full sun to part shade and well-drained soils, Heavenly Bamboo requires very low maintenance. Light pruning in spring or summer promotes shape and fresh growth. Moderate watering is needed, especially during establishment.
Ideal for low hedging, ornamental borders, mass plantings, and container gardening, 'Moon Bay' brings year-round charm with minimal effort.
