It measures D175cm x H108cm with a 65cm base and holds approximately 2500 litres of potting mix. Empty, it weighs around 250kg. That soil volume is closer to a raised garden bed than a pot, which is why it can carry planting that would struggle in a conventional container.

Glass fibre reinforced cement, usually shortened to GFRC. It is cement reinforced with glass fibre, roughly twice as strong as fibre glass and far lighter than solid concrete of the same dimensions. It resists UV and water penetration, which is what allows a container this large to stay outdoors year round.

At around 250kg empty it needs machinery, a forklift, a crane or a suitable trolley and a crew. Once filled with potting mix and watered it is effectively permanent, so confirm the final position, the ground preparation and the drainage before anything goes in. The 2500 litre volume suits an advanced feature tree, a mature olive, a magnolia, a large clipped ficus or a multi trunk specimen. It also takes a layered planting with a central tree and low groundcover beneath. Whatever goes in, use a free draining quality potting mix rather than garden soil.

Yes. The range is made for both light and heavy duty commercial and domestic landscaping and stands up to most reasonable wear and tear. In genuinely extreme settings, where vehicle contact or deliberate impact is likely, steel or heavy concrete remains the only real option.

The material resists UV and water penetration, so it holds its finish outdoors rather than breaking down. Natural cement does pick up some patina over the years, which most people want from this look. Finishes may vary slightly from the pot shown in the photograph.

Use mild soapy water and a soft bristle brush such as a nail brush to lift marks, then rinse. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasives. Check once a season that the drainage is running clear, because a pot holding this much mix will hold a great deal of water if it blocks.
