Acer palmatum 'Sango Kaku' – Coral Bark Maple is an upright, deciduous ornamental tree known for its bright coral-red stems that intensify in winter. Soft green, finely lobed leaves provide contrast through spring and summer, shifting to golden-yellow with red tones in autumn.
They look excellent in courtyards, Japanese-style gardens, or feature positions where winter interest and subtle structure are needed. The vivid bark colour adds strong seasonal contrast, especially when leafless, making it a valuable year-round design element.
Well suited to both residential and designed landscapes where form, foliage, and winter colour are important.
