Acacia cognata ‘Copper Tips’ is a compact, ornamental Australian native shrub admired for its fine, weeping foliage and copper-toned new growth. The soft green leaves form a dense, mounded habit, while the bronze-copper tips provide year-round contrast and colour.
Typically reaching 1–1.5 metres high and 1–2 metres wide, ‘Copper Tips’ is ideal for low hedging, mass planting, borders, or as a feature plant in containers. It is low maintenance, fast-growing, and thrives in full sun to part shade with well-drained soil. Once established, it is drought-tolerant and suitable for a variety of landscape styles, including modern, native, and low-water gardens.
It looks excellent when planted en masse for a soft, flowing effect or contrasted with bold architectural plants.
