PLANT PROFILE
Syzygium australe ‘Pinnacle’ is a narrow-growing Australian native Lilly Pilly cultivar prized for its neat, upright habit and glossy evergreen foliage. The fine, dense leaves create a refined texture, and new growth emerges with a copper-red flush before maturing to bright green. In summer, small white flowers appear, followed by attractive pink fruit that provides food for birds and wildlife. Mature plants typically reach 3–4 metres tall and only 1–1.5 metres wide, making it one of the best choices for space-efficient screening or hedging.
This hardy evergreen grows at a moderate rate and performs well in full sun to part shade. Syzygium ‘Pinnacle’ is drought and frost tolerant once established, resistant to psyllids, and adaptable to most well-drained soils. It maintains a naturally narrow shape with minimal trimming and can be used in both formal and informal designs.
They look excellent as narrow hedges, screening plants, or formal garden features. Their fine foliage and slender form make them ideal for driveways, courtyards, and poolside planting where space and structure are key.
