Eucalyptus mannifera, commonly known as Brittle Gum, is a striking Australian native tree valued for its smooth, powdery white to pale grey bark and slender, upright form. The bark often sheds in patches, revealing beautiful patterns and seasonal colour, making it a standout feature tree in both native and ornamental landscapes.
This evergreen species typically reaches 10–20 metres in height and performs best in full sun with well-drained soil. It is drought and frost tolerant once established and supports biodiversity with its small white flowers that attract birds and pollinators. Low maintenance and long-lived, Eucalyptus mannifera is ideal for use as a specimen tree, in avenue plantings, or for large-scale revegetation and windbreaks.
