Supplying Trees to Biscayne: A Project by Evergreen Trees Direct
Evergreen Trees Direct was proud to supply Kate Walker's 'Biscayne' project with a selection of advanced trees and plants chosen to bring a British colonial and Caribbean style home to life. Each species was selected to complete the look while serving a clear purpose across the garden, from privacy and screening through to structure and tropical character. This post takes a closer look at the trees and plants supplied, and how each was used throughout the project.
Overview of the Trees Planted
• Waterhousea floribunda (hedge along the perimeter of the home)
• Ficus hillii 'Flash' (planted around the pool as a natural pool fence)
• Buxus japonica (low formal hedge along the driveway)
• Strelitzia nicolai, also known as the Giant White Bird of Paradise (planted for a tropical look and feel)
The Biscayne project was a strong example of Evergreen Trees Direct's ability to supply advanced, established trees for high-end landscaping. Waterhousea floribunda, Ficus hillii 'Flash', Buxus japonica and Strelitzia nicolai were each placed with purpose, creating privacy, structure, elegance and a relaxed tropical feel that complements the architecture of the home. The result is a considered, mature garden that settled into the design from the day it was planted.
