Leptospermum laevigatum - Coastal Tea Tree

Size: 100L
Sale price$550.00

Leptospermum laevigatum, known as Coastal Tea Tree, is a hardy, evergreen Australian native celebrated for its resilience to salt winds, poor soils, and drought. Growing 3–5 meters tall and 2–4 meters wide, it forms a dense, spreading screen with twisting branches and grey-green narrow leaves.

In spring and early summer, it produces masses of small white flowers that attract pollinators and provide excellent habitat for birds. Perfect for informal hedges, coastal screens, shelterbelts, and erosion control, this fast-growing, low-maintenance plant thrives in full sun and sandy or well-drained soils. Highly drought- and salt-tolerant once established, it’s an outstanding choice for coastal and dry inland landscapes.
