Ivory Lite - Sack Pot - Ivory terrazzo finish Evergreen Trees Direct

About Your New Ivory Lite - Sack Pot - Ivory terrazzo finish

The Ivory Lite Sack Pot has the soft, gathered profile of a sack, finished in a fine ivory terrazzo. The Poly Fibre Stone body is a mixture of poly resin, stone powder, stone chips and fibre matt. The chips are very fine, giving the ivory semolina surface the range is known for.

There is no cement of any kind in the material, which makes it extremely light and a sensible choice for balcony gardens and rooftops. The finish is highly scuff and scratch resistant, so it survives being moved in and out of jobs. Four sizes are made, from D34cm x H33cm to D68cm x H64cm.

It suits interior plantscaping, florists, decorators and anyone shifting planting between sites. Use it in an office reception, a foyer, an apartment living room or on a terrace. The rounded shape sits well with a ficus, a rubber plant, a kentia palm or a full head of trailing pothos.

Frequently Asked Questions

About Ivory Lite Sack Pot

What is Poly Fibre Stone?

It is a composite of poly resin, stone powder, stone chips and fibre matt. The stone chips used in the Ivory Lite range are very fine, which produces the ivory semolina terrazzo finish. There is no cement of any type in the mixture, and that is what keeps the pots extremely light.

What sizes does the Sack Pot come in?

Four sizes are made: D68cm x H64cm, D55cm x H53cm, D44cm x H42cm and D34cm x H33cm. The proportions stay consistent across the range, so a group of three in graduated sizes reads as a set. The smallest suits a desk or a side table, the largest a floor standing specimen.

Does it have a drainage hole?

No. The range is supplied without drainage holes so it can be used indoors straight away, with the plant left in its nursery pot or planted with a drainage layer. If you want to plant directly and use it outside, one or two holes can easily be drilled in the base.

Can it be used indoors?

Yes, that is what it was designed for. Interior plantscapers, florists and decorators use this range because it is light to carry, scuff and scratch resistant, and comes without drainage holes so nothing reaches the floor. The ivory terrazzo finish suits residential interiors and commercial foyers equally well.

How heavy is it?

Very light for its size. With no cement in the mixture, the Poly Fibre Stone body weighs a fraction of a concrete or terrazzo pot of the same dimensions, and one person can carry the larger sizes. The trade off is that a tall, top heavy plant may need ballast in the base.

Is it suitable for a balcony or rooftop?

It is a good fit. The low weight matters where structural load is limited, which is the usual constraint on balconies, podiums and roof decks. Drill drainage holes in the base if you are planting directly. In a windy position, add weight low in the pot so it cannot tip.

How do I clean and care for it?

Wipe it down with mild soapy water and a soft bristle brush or a rag, then dry it off. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasives. The finish is highly scuff and scratch resistant, so ordinary handling marks come off easily. Finishes may vary a little from the pot shown in the photograph.
