The Acacia acinacea – Golden Dust Wattle is a compact, evergreen native shrub (1–3m H × 1–2m W) with soft green foliage and masses of bright golden-yellow flower balls from late winter to early spring. It looks excellent grouped along fences, garden borders, or mass planted for seasonal impact.

Thrives in full sun to part shade, tolerates frost and drought, and grows well in clay, loam, or sandy soils. Low maintenance and fast to establish.

How to Plant Acacia Acinacea

  1. Select the Spot: Choose a location that receives adequate sunlight.
  2. Prepare the Soil: Although Acacia Acinacea is tolerant of various soil types, well-draining soil is ideal. You can enrich the soil with compost for better results.
  3. Dig a Hole: The hole should be twice as wide and equal in depth to the pot the plant came in.
  4. Planting: Gently remove the Acacia from its container, ensuring minimal disturbance to its roots. Place it in the hole and fill around the plant with soil. Press down gently.
